Chamber of Commerce – Roof Top Party

I have just got back from the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce annual Willis Rooftop Garden Party – this is one the most fun networking events I’ve been to recently – a real social event in an amazing venue – and luckily the sun was shining so we got to eat, drink and chat on the roof top garden over looking Ipswich. ┬áMet some new people and caught up with some old friends.

The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce provides lots of great services to start up and established businesses and has a wide membership base – I’ve joined!

The OCM Annual Conference

Yesterday I spent the day in Oxford at The OCM Annual Conference.  The OCM are an accredited provider of coaching training and qualifications and the organisation who I studied with.

Had a great day catching up with colleagues from the coaching world and had the opportunity to attend workshops and listen to speakers on a range of topics – always great to spend a day doing CPD and refreshing my practise and ideas.

Anyone interested in coaching qualifications should talk to The OCM

HR students at Suffolk College try Coaching

I have recently been supporting some colleagues as an Associate Tutor delivering the Coaching module of the Level 3 HR Qualification.

Over the last 5 weeks I have worked with a group of about 20 HR professionals explaining what coaching is, exploring the benefits to individuals and to organisations and had lots of great discussions about how coaching fits in with other Learning and Development tools.

I’ve given some live demonstrations and provided support, advice and feedback to the group as they all had a go at coaching each other – not as easy as it looks!
